Lap Dances for Haiti???

File this under the “What the heck???” category. A strip club in downtown Toledo, OH, recently donated their $10 cover charge for each customer to International Services of Hope, or ISOH/IMPACT.

The sign is actually a bit misleading since lap dancing is illegal in Ohio (wink, wink). However, General Manager Kerry Soprano his club, Marilyn’s on Monroe, had been considering donating to a charity as a way to “polish the club’s image” before the earthquake in Haiti occurred. He was quoted as saying…

We’d been racking our brains for about a month or so, thinking about what we could do. You don’t hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community.

It was pretty hard to find an organization that wants to deal with an adult entertainment establishment.

I’m just sure there’s a Beavis & Butthead episode in this somewhere.
